and European Middleweight champion, and had won 40 of his 43
contests. Randy was described pre-fight as "too young and
inexperienced" to defeat the champion.

after his fight with Carl 'Bobo' Olson, Randy would defend his
European Middleweight title against Tiberio Mitri. In 1950,
Mitri had lost in a challenge for Jake LaMotta's World
